Governor Kathy Hochul announced a major NY budget deal at 9 a.m. this morning—only for Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie to shoot it down two hours later.
“There’s no budget deal. There’s no deal,” Heastie said flatly. He walked out of last night’s leaders’ meeting with no agreement.
She had already canceled yesterday’s planned rollout.
